This two-part Information Visualization project was completed at the University of Canberra during a semester 'down unda'. Part one: design an infographic depicting a data set of our choosing. Part two: conclude and reveal less obvious relationships within the data and present this through an in-depth data visualization.
I explored a data set from BC’s Salmon Head Recovery Program composed of samples collected at my seasonal workplace, a remote fishing lodge on BC’s West coast.
The serif typeface used in the headings sets an academic, scientific tone while the paired sans serif subheadings keep the overall feel clean and accessible. The colour palette is grounded in the remote wilderness of the lodge, aligning with the biological subject matter. Fish-shaped pictograms felt like a must.
